They are much prettier than they appear in the description. The colors are really beautiful and vibrant, with a glossy finish. The back is made of gold-colored metal. They are very cute and funny. They appear to be hypoallergenic. I've worn them in my ears for several hours with no problems and I'm severely allergic to nickel. Can't comment on how they hold up over time but they seem like good value for money. I think they would make a great gift for a young girl but I am an older woman and would definitely wear them.
