Review on NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil, Ash Brown: Achieve Stunning Brows with Ease by Kathleen Pecor

NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pencil is another good drugstore eyebrow product, especially if you like drop applicators, a creamy formula and a more dramatic brow look. I only gave it 4 stars because it's too creamy for me and if I had to choose I would buy NYX Precision Brow Pencil. The formula is incredibly creamy, with more than enough product even with the lightest application. In the photo of my brows you can see how they are applied with a light touch (I don't like full "Instagram brows", I prefer softer natural brows) and blended with a brush. At first I was concerned that the creamy consistency would make my brows stiff or clumpy, but the brows look like lipstick has been applied. Although the formula has some staying power (lasts all day under normal conditions), I feel like it needs brows. gel to put everything in place; Also, it smudges when you touch or rub your brows during the day. I'm a fan of curved eyebrow pencils, I prefer them to thin pencils. I find this shape allows me both accuracy (I can use the tip/edge) and speed while still lasting longer and being less prone to breakage. It took me almost 3 months almost daily to finish this pen which doesn't take that long for me (quality drop pens last over 4-6 months) but it could be a creamy formula. I've been very careful not to twist too much product and haven't had any issues with breakage in use; towards the end the pencil just comes out of the sleeve, but i pushed the pencil back in and used it to the end. I'm a dark brunette with warm undertones, but cool tones suit me best when it comes to eyebrow products; Ash Brown suits me best from this series, but I still didn't think it was cold enough. I've tried other NYX brow products before (including the Micro Brow Pencil and Brow Mascara) and found the colors in the Fill & Fluff Pomade Pencil to be darker (even though they're named the same). totally pointless, I just couldn't use it. That didn't really bother me as I always use a separate brow gel with a good coil.
