I like the writing surface, it's dark blue and very reflective. They work well in my pioneer burner. The printable surface is only mediocre. Colors are soft, not bright like some of the more expensive brands. Hence the 4 stars. I personally prefer the Value Disc brand (CMC Magnetics) as the printing surface is better. I have used Ritek recordable media for many years and they have always been reliable to me. This is a good alternative to my favorite brand when Revain is out of stock. Reviews of rewritable media are subjective when it comes to recording. The best thing to do is find the brand that best suits your particular burner and stick with it. The MID code is very important as different brands use different manufacturers. If the disc you are using works well, take note of the MID code and buy discs from that manufacturer. Recording media used: Pioneer BDR-212M Disc specifications: MID: RITEK-BR3-000 Supported recording speeds (depending on device): 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x
