Smells horrible, we had to wash in a strong detergent with a great smell. Add fabric softener and get Unstoppable Pearls. Thank goodness the laces are all detachable! My grandson loved this bag so much I just had to remove the smell for him to keep or I would have sent it back. After washing, I put the box of drying towels in a bag and put them on the patio. It still smelled after all that, so we washed it again. My grandson smeared it with cologne lol! So between the cologne and that chemical smell we had to clean it again. The two scents didn't go together. After we washed again in the same way, the smell disappeared. I will no longer order from this company. The bag lasted for the school year, but it stank and getting rid of the smell was a headache.
