This is the first pair of shoes I haven't had to change for my five year old in two months. I've never had this problem with my eldest son, but my 5 year old is very picky about shoes. They held up really well for eight months and replaced them because he outgrew them. The only comment is that they are narrow like Nike sneakers. After a few weeks they will have widened a bit, but if your child has wide feet, you should look elsewhere.
