I have no desire to speak negatively of this little radio. In fact, when I tried to activate the radio, I heard it loud and clear. But after about 30 seconds I heard static and then it stopped - no sound at all. Both AM and FM. Having an electronics background, I still decided to look inside without damaging the electronics, but I didn't find any protruding wires or components. I'm not inclined to return it so I'll just treat it as one of my losses and buy something that hopefully works. One feature I definitely didn't like was the ON, AM, FM slide switch. Other controls were more traditional rotary potentiometer types.
