Not a bad little radio for the price!

I was looking for something very simple to leave my pets with during the day to help deal with separation anxiety while we are at work. We live in an area with generally pretty poor reception and with antennas up this radio picks up the few local stations we have with amazing clarity. The batteries died after about two weeks of leaving it on for eight hours a day, but after replacing the radio it was fine again. For the price it was exactly what I wanted.

Disappointed with poor quality product

I have no desire to speak negatively of this little radio. In fact, when I tried to activate the radio, I heard it loud and clear. But after about 30 seconds I heard static and then it stopped - no sound at all. Both AM and FM. Having an electronics background, I still decided to look inside without damaging the electronics, but I didn't find any protruding wires or components. I'm not inclined to return it so I'll just treat it as one of my losses and buy something that hopefully works. One…

Pretty simple but works well

This radio surprised me. Firstly, it's smaller than I thought, although it's probably my fault for paying attention to the photo larger than the dimensions stated (that's the size of a regular index card 3x5 and about 1 inch thick. Why don't companies take pictures of their products side by side with a reference point, like a coin?) The sound quality and sensitivity are excellent, but the construction materials are not that good.

Let's talk about the pros first. This radio has really great sound quality for its size. You certainly won't get a ghetto blaster sound with an 11 euro radio, but in terms of size and price, the small radio sounds better than expected. It also picks up most of the hard-to-reach stations near me. Trying to connect weaker stations can be a bit tricky, but it picks them up. All in all, I think it's a good radio.
