I was very hesitant to purchase this product after reading the negative reviews. Other models with similar finishes (brushed nickel/stainless steel) cost almost twice as much. The first one we bought from Wayfair had the wrong finish so we lost because they don't accept returns. I thought thank goodness for Revane's return policy if that doesn't work. We asked our contractor to install an outlet on the wall specifically for this heated towel rail. Unlike the folks in this review who integrated the plug into the light switch, the output plug was a live wire. GOOD ADVICE – if like us you have an active fork, we bought a Revain smart fork. You can then program the wake-up time you want, or turn it off remotely if you forget to turn it off. It gets very hot, so don't touch the grate while it's on. We have a heater that comes on an hour before we shower and literally makes the towels toasty and warm. If you accidentally leave it on overnight (we did, but it's not recommended), your 100% cotton towels will become crispy. The power button is a little tricky to turn on and off as it's covered in plastic (obviously for your safety).
