I bought this unit to replace my CF reader and SD reader with one to save space and cables. The computer can't find the reader most of the time, and when it does, the video plays jerkily! I'm having the same problems with another computer, so the product must be faulty. The cable to the device seems to have a lot of slack, which I find strange. I will return this block

It's great. I hate turning my 27" iMac over to access the USB ports. I also don't like bulky USB hubs lying around. I use external speakers for my iMac. I got up after installing a USB hub Internal speakers switched. and I can't tell you what the problems are. But again, my norm is external speakers (as well as over-the-air playback.) I've added a few photos so you can see how it's done works. A replacement unit from Sabrent arrived in record time. The new unit works great. CF and SD cards work

Very nice little hub for my iMac. I connected about 10 different drives to it including USB and SD and it read every one. Looks good too. I seemed to have decent write speeds to and from my Mac to various storage devices. So far very happy with this purchase. Update: I tried to use a CompactFlash card in this hub and my iMac didn't recognize it. I'm not sure if the problem is with my computer or with the flash drive. Update this review. After my review, the seller contacted me and offered to replace my first item as it was found defective. A few days later I got a new one and it works as advertised. I have several hours of audio usage and have transferred hundreds of gigabytes of data with it. Original rating. Although I like the look, after a few minutes of use it disconnects from my computer, becoming unusable for data transfer or adding peripherals.

My new laptop has no CD/DVD-RW drive, no memory/SD card reader and only 2 have 2 USB ports. Being a photographer I still use memory cards and my phone and tablet also have SD cards which I like to transfer to an external hard drive which I like to plug into my laptop along with my DVD/CD. Not quite USB 3.0 transfer speed when copying photos from an SD card to a large group. The average copy time for 100 20MB CR2 image files was at least 20 times longer than with a USB 2.0 card reader (3 hours vs. 2 minutes). The device is recognized by my PC, but the transfer rate is very slow for a USB 3.0 device connected to the USB 3.0 ISB port. less than a minute. Rather than being my primary means of copying files off my SD card, it becomes a backup and ends up in my laptop bag.

Item had to be returned due to a 6-in-1 card reader causing my Dell computer to freeze and lag when typing. There's also a short on the left USB port, causing the chargers to constantly connect and disconnect. I reordered the same item and was very disappointed because it caused the same problems. There must be some kind of spyware on the device that is causing these problems. Not happy to know my computer was connected to this reader. I want a refund, but my return window is closed.
