With careful use, this headset delivers great sound at a great price. Really great considering the price. Used on the same show as the Sennheiser MKE2 Gold mics and sounded very close. That's why I was so annoyed about the reinforcement. The sensitivity is too high for most of my needs. It is intended for a person speaking at a normal volume, not most singers. In my case I had a singer with a very soft voice who played one of the main roles in the piece. It made her sound great and I had enough feedback to let the audience sing her. I used a Sennheiser G2 500 series bodypack transmitter. She managed to clip the mic once per show when she was screaming, but the rest of the time she was fine. We tried this mic on a stronger vocalist and it clipped it slightly. If only JK Electronics would release a low gain model! In addition, the cord is not reinforced with anything. I haven't broken one yet, but it's only a matter of time. I would pay extra for a Kevlar or Aramid reinforced cable. The detachable cable is great! How about other colors? Black? Tan?
