Company props: Ordered a duvet and queen size in late October to fit in an unheated 100 year old converted loft apartment after our old one by Coming a winter in the Pacific Northwest, much cheaper the electric blanket is dead. The cast worked great until it suddenly stopped in mid-December. I have a hunch that it was due to a power outage due to the weather we had, but I can't be sure. I contacted the company at the email address given on the info tag sewn to the duvet cover (can't help but notice) and explained in a simple polite email and requested a new duvet controller. They responded immediately asking for my order number and address and sent a new one. It's a Christmas miracle with the terrible mail storm our postal workers are going through, bless them the replacement arrived in about a week, much to the delight of my cats who love to snuggle on it. About the comforter itself: The original comforter I bought is probably the best I've ever owned considering I haven't had many comforters over $30. It was a little hectic and 100% worth it, even with the controller hiccups. The electrical conduction running through it is almost imperceptible and it's not like an electric blanket until you turn it on and then it's very warm; We never needed it above the first two settings, even at >40Β°F inside. Strong little one. Auto off is great, it helps me track how long I've been on the couch. The queen sized version on the bed alone kept us snuggly in the 25Β°F without the need for a second top comforter, which I thought was impossible. I've only had the replacement blanket for about a day, but even if the controller is the same, the blanket model is clearly made just a little differently. The wire is more visible and a little stiffer, but still comfortable, and I think they sent me this one mainly for a controller to swap out for the old one. Still a great cover. My advice? Get this quilt but go up in size because everyone will want to share it with you.
