Review on Plantronics Voyager 5200 UC (Poly) Monaural Headset - Connect to PC/Mac, Teams, Zoom & More with Noise Canceling by Jimmy Hargrove

Works but doesn't look reliable

Overall the headset works as advertised with noise canceling (even when I'm talking to a Dyson vacuum near my mic and my caller can't hear it). UC works reliably in my customer's thin client network. However, the headset, case and everything else feels cheap. It's either very plastic or rubbery and doesn't look very good, although it works (that's why you paid so much for it). Rubber scratches easily (surprisingly, this doesn't happen when it's shipped to you). And as soon as you touch the case you will understand why it is very easy to scratch it. Battery life is decent, although the battery is usually reported to be dead for 1 hour during a session. I've kept it in the case all along and Bluetooth 5.0 should improve it, but this model hasn't had any updates since 2016 when it first came out. What is included does not fit, regardless of the 3 sizes. Yes it blocks wind and noise for your caller but with a poor fit you won't be able to hear them even if they can hear you well as the noise will affect your hearing too. I have to pay extra to get a different mount and fit the matching earbud, but after that it sounds ridiculous and muffled. All in all a product that works if you are looking for something reliable.
