This battery isn’t even 6 months old and is already dead/won’t take a charge anymore.Initially seemed like a solid purchase. Would NOT recommend for purchase. Many attempts to contact seller regarding warranty with no response. Save your money!

The first battery I received lasted around 50 minutes with my screen on lowest brightness. I had followed all instructions for conditioning the battery. 50 minutes is pretty useless, since it wouldn't even make it through one of my classes. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement. Ordered two of these for Dell E6520's. The first one got me a solid 4 hours, the second one got me 2 hours. If your laptop battery is dead, this is a cheap solution, but the results are hit or miss.

Originally worked great, I let the charge run out 3 times as instructed. Now, one week later, my Dell E6420 crashes with no warning. Well, there is a split second "Locked, battery critical low" blue screen message, then it goes down. This is while plugged into AC, and battery shows at 100% charged. Returning! Going to buy an actual Dell battery this time.

I bought this for a Dell E6530. It fit great, no bios errors, charged up to 100%. Dell usually throws a fit about an after market battery but I had no errors with this one. I am running ubuntu 18.4 server for gaming server, the battery will last forever while playing but its command line only with an SSD drive. I downloaded a could battery tools and the battery checked out fine. I would buy this battery again.

The battery was installed and within two months showed a slow and steady drop in available charge. Now it reports zero charge and the laptop dies immediately when unplugged from the charger. I installed the old battery (several years old) and it holds a charge and works better than this new battery.

Received this battery in mid September. Initially I was pleased. Battery worked well. But last week it died on me, three months and a week after I received it. It will not hold a charge at all and is totally useless. As a test, I unplugged the power supply from my laptop and immediately plugged it back in. Laptop lost power before I was able to plug the power supply back in. As I said, totally useless.So disappointed.

Super fast shipping. I needed a battery for my laptop and the manufacture was charging twice as much for the same battery. I liked it so much I bought another one as a backup.

Never had close to the capacity that it should have from the very first day, and that fell off quickly over a few weeks until its as flat as the battery I bought it to replace. At this price point this was to be expected, and if it's just a bit of a stopgap for rarely having your laptop off a charger it should be alright. However if you plan to use it like a stock Dell battery you will be sorely disappointed.

How to rate this.? Powered down my E5430, put in this new battery, left it to charge overnight. Turn on the PC today (20 hours later) and it says "79% full and not charging" - popped it out and plugged it in again. now it's once again charging. What is this "IT Crowd"?I bought this to replace the original one year old battery which was not taking a charge and had expelled to 0%. That one started charging after i took it out to see the battery details for this new one. technology

I hardly use my laptop with power cord detached, so over the last few years, the battery has been only used for a less than 100 cycles I would estimated. But now, the battery can barely support one hour. I think despite the battery is hardly used, it just decayed over the time. So overall, for 30 dollars investment, it is an OK deal. If you use it as a backup, i.e. you not really going to depend it for mobile work.

Update 3 years later: Been asked to change review prior to resolution of the issue described in original review below.Doesn't hold a charge and it is less than a year old

2nd order, going to see if they last a little longer. 1st batch didn't respond well to being unplugged and plugged back in. They liked a full discharge, then a full charge.

First of all, it arrived a day earlier than I expected! It looked exactly like the one in my laptop and slid right into place. Gave it a good charge and the next day I had it unplugged for approximately 4 hours to drain it so I could give it another good charge! (My old battery was only lasting about 1.5 hours!) Since then I have been able to have it unplugged for up to 4 hours each time before needing to plug it back in. Definitely very happy with my choice to replace the battery over…

Seems to work well. The OS squawks about some compatibility issues on startup but it boots up and runs ok. I think it's just a matter of this laptop being 10 years old and not recognizing some of the protocols built in to a new battery.

It's okay. I mean, it's compatible and recognized by my Latitude 6520.I have an SSD in this thing and was getting close to 6 hours with the OEM 9 cell that was well used prior to the SSD.I was disappointed to put this guy in and after several cycles, the best I can do is about 2 hours, which is a bit unacceptable seeing as the description says 2 hours, which I need to believe is with a conventional platter HDD.I'm wishing I would have just chalked up the extra money and got an authentic Dell 9…

I wanted to see if cheap batteries were just as good as the Bought one of these and one of another cheap brand for our two older Dells that are laying around the house.6 months later and neither of these batteries could even keep the Dell running 10 minutes. And we put small SSD's in the Dells, which is quite a nice power reduction.

This battery works perfectly for my Dell Inspiron 17R 7720 laptop. It fits slightly differently into the laptop but it's not noticeable at all unless you're really looking. Pretty much doubled my battery life after replacing the original heavily-used OEM battery - this one lasts two full hours as long as I'm not running a lot of programs (Netflix and homework!), whereas my old one would never make it that long. I had no trouble at all figuring out how to use this battery - it looks and works…
