I'm no audiophile, but for $99.99 (as of 10/12/20) these speaker pairs deliver sound quality, build quality, and efficiency. Sonically they are crisp, wide and crisp. With my budget setup, I didn't notice much distortion when cranking up the volume. The bass was nice and tight, but I would definitely recommend the subwoofer. The build quality for the price is excellent and it looks great with or without the speaker covers that fit on the device. The speakers also come with small rubber feet to allow them to be lowered. There is nothing more to say, the workmanship is excellent! So if you're looking for budget audiophile gear at the current $99.99 this is a great choice, especially for the clarity offered by the unique horn and linear motion technology. But if you are reading this and the speakers are being sold at regular price I would suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of speakers for under $229 that come close to the sound quality and can boost the bass when you need it.
