I bought these rather expensive dog shoes after reading the reviews which made me think they were worth every penny. If these booties stayed on our dog's paws for more than 30 seconds they would be worth every penny. Based on the instructions and measurements, I bought a medium size for our 75 lb lab. In addition, these ankle boots are VERY difficult to fit on our dog's paws. Our dog is very obedient - he lets you do what you want with him. He's used to wearing booties, we have those that look like balloons - not very comfortable to put on, and they last about a walk on sidewalks and sidewalks. Our friend stood patiently while I put booties on his feet. We put them on, then he took two steps - one of the ankle boots flew off. Ok - my fault. I didn't tighten enough. I put it back on and tightened the other boots. He walked down our short driveway and another boot fell off him. They seem like a really great pair of boots, but they just don't stay. I buy individual 1000 denier cordura boots for $3 each and they stay better than this $45 boot set!
