Review on Samsonite Windguard Auto Close Black Umbrellas: Ultimate Protection from Wind and Rain by Tina Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small, comfortable, well made.

This is my second umbrella of this type. I lost my first one which I bought on the Samsonite website. :-(The pen feels good in the hand and is not made of cheap slippery plastic. My first). It's convenient to be able to press a button when you get in the car and it pulls in. Of course, it can also be opened conveniently at the push of a button. that this umbrella MUST BE PUSHED to put away for storage. It also has 2 Velcro strips that keep it closed. Unpacked, umbrella will not open. This caught me more than once when I unbuckled the bottom Velcro and opened the car door, popping the umbrella out while pressing the release button and it wouldn't open. I got pretty wet afterwards (as did my open car door) trying to hastily undo the top Velcro to allow it to open. Uy it and I would recommend you do it not repeat the same mistake. So, as I said, I can definitely recommend this item and it's my second and of course in "Samsonite quality". It has a competitive price and much better quality than cheap ones regardless of the country of origin. It is made in communist China.

Pros
  • Automatically opening and closing umbrella with teflon coated windscreen
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
