Review on πŸͺ‘ Winsome 82218 Wood Claire Accent Table: A Natural 18-Inch Delight by Jessica Wallace

Works well. Small

I bought 2 of these for short term rentals. I needed something strong but cheap enough that I didn't have to worry about damage. These bedside tables are mostly rubberwood and match the finishes on the beds I already have, so they seem to suit me. Once assembled I think they will work but they are definitely not of great value. I highly recommend using wood glue on all joints to help keep it strong over time. Unfortunately during the build I had many issues that other reviewers had. The holes for attaching the legs on the underside of the table top do not line up, making assembly difficult.2. There were two screw holes that were ground down before the screws were fully seated. One was on the bottom of the table top and the other was on the side of the drawer. This is another reason to use glue.3. The hex wrench is made of cheap material and one of them wore out before assembly was complete.4. In one of the cabinets, one side of the drawer was done wrong and is higher than the other. This is not because the holes were drilled incorrectly, because the groove for the bottom of the drawer is still in place. After assembly I had the following problems: A. Both units are not quite level on a hard floor (ie they sway a bit from corner to corner). I will be using them on carpet so I don't care but you can easily fix this by placing self-adhesive felt pads on the bottom of the legs. On both devices, the drawer does not sit properly when closed. When the drawer is fully closed there is a gap between the top of the drawer and the rosette that is attached to the underside of the table. In addition, the clearance is 2mm on one side and 4mm on the other. This means that either the drawer sides or the drawer slides are not finished correctly. This can be fixed with spacers, but it's not that easy. C. The tabletop of a unit has a dent where something knocked it. The box is intact with no loose parts inside, so this was before it was packed at the factory.
