When Quirky was founded, I was initially very interested in how they create projects using crowdsourced ideas. I think it was one of those ideas. I needed something to keep my nightstand organized as it was cluttered with cords and gadgets. The good things first: 1.) There is a dedicated high output USB port for tablets and other devices that require this type of power. 2.) The straps on the back are held. most of the shorter cables to the dock to eliminate the rear nest of cables. Now not so good: 1.) It's big - I feel like I have a pretty standard bedside table and it takes up at least a third of it. That being said, it holds a phone and a tablet, so it should be big, but the back feels bigger than it needs to be. You're like me and you use your device while it's charging in bed, you really can't use it. 3.) Connecting devices to their chargers is cumbersome. The channel at the bottom allows for all manner of charging cords to be fed through, but then you're stuck with a length of cord (assuming you used ties to keep cords under control) to connect and then pull out again to stand . your device against your hand. It's hard to describe and not a big deal, but something I don't like about this 'dock'. 3.) If your device doesn't tilt well, it's useless. I have an Apple Watch and you can't put your watch on it, I just ran the cable through the bottom and charged it in front of the dock; Again I knew this was happening. For me, I wanted this to help a little with tangles, but for the price, it's a good way to dock custom-sized items from different manufacturers (think Android phones and iPad). half neat. Personally, next time I'd pay a little more for a dock that's easier to plug in and unplug.
