Does exactly what I need. You can put the chopped part of the apple inside and keep it in the fridge with minimal oxidation of the apple slices. The cut surfaces will only darken slightly and will not soften even if nothing is rubbed with lemon juice! I don't use the weird little piece that might contain dipping sauce. The top rolls up and down easily and I had no problems with it. I got these because I've been using Hutzler Grapefruit Halves storage containers for years and have found them to be great for both grapefruit and oranges.
