Potential fire hazard

I liked this unit at first. This is definitely a one person cooler, not a one room cooler. It was perfect for my family member who is always hot and working at the desk. However, he left it on when he went to bed and sparks flew at night. The edge of the bed was burned and there was a strong smell of burning. It should be unplugged when not in use and never used in a child's room. i give it back
