Review on 🐠 AquaView 2.5-Gallon Fish Tank Review: Power Filter and LED Lighting for Stunning Underwater Display by Josh Gerhardt

Good office tank for aquaria and aquaria

I took a closer look and it was the best value for money for me. I have two male bettas and the small divided bowl they recommended at the pet store made them sick quickly. They quickly improved in these tanks. At the bottom I put balls and large glass stones to allow the waste to settle below where the fish is resting. I run the filters for about an hour a day and they circulate the water well enough to pull the debris out of the rocks. I also have live plants in the aquarium that need some fish waste to be healthy. The lighting is really good and I haven't had any issues with humidity or LED burnout. The documents that came with the tank show how to order extra light blocks in case they run out and the prices are very reasonable. The downside is that the filter is QUIET. I need to set a reminder to turn it off after an hour or so. Bettas don't need running water, but filters help keep aquariums cleaner and smelling better since they're in the office. These filters work quickly to clean and circulate the water, but they don't put too much strain on my bettas. One fights the current more than the other, but it's just a fish, not a bad filter. If I were to use them for keeping tropical fish I would buy a small heater. There are inexpensive versions for this tank size. They installed the filter in the cut out part of the tank so the wires and such are a bit away from the corner of the wall. I cut mine out on the sides of the window on my desk so the wires are tucked along the window jambs and then I see one of the flat sides at my work station with a 3" panel facing the lobby. That's enough to get the attention of the kids in the lobby, but not too much so that the fish don't get nervous when people press their faces against the aquarium or slap it. The fish tend to hide behind window posts when people are too close, then come out again when the bank is clear.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Without automatic control
