Description of MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 SUV 255/50 R20 109T winter

Michelin X-Ice North 4 SUV is designed for SUVs and crossovers. Announced in spring 2019. The tire is designed to overcome severe winter weather conditions. The MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 studded tire provides a high level of braking and handling on ice, while maintaining low noise levels. The Michelin X-Ice North 4 SUV winter tire is designed for crossovers and SUVs that rarely go off paved roads. Structurally, it is a version of the eponymous "passenger" model. It differs from it in the size range and design, adapted to the increased weight and high center of gravity of all-wheel drive vehicles....

Type of review

The noise level seems to be low. Traveled a distance of 250 kilometers. When compared to the old ones, the new ones have far better road holding. These brakes are excellent. The spike is shaped uniquely, with just a single stud of strong metal rubber protruding.

Pros
  • Reviews suggest the same with Nokian 10R. But, in my opinion, the Nokian has more severe spikes. Only the Nokian, after driving testing, showed no signs of a single spike on the back tires.
Cons
  • No.

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

These winter tires are the greatest I've ever had. BMW diesel engine, all-wheel drive. 340 hp. 700 lb-ft. of torque. As a driver, I was quick and hostile. I made a snow tunnel and followed the road on an ice lake. Watch a video of a car travelling in the snow? v=QWCIBk4pmbQ&t=174s

Pros
  • These winter tires are the greatest I've ever had. BMW diesel engine, all-wheel drive. 340 hp. 700 lb-ft. of torque. - During the entire season, not a SINGLE ship took to the skies. Excellent Hong Kongeability. - Excellent traction in every weather Excellent cost-effectiveness.
Cons
  • Keeping it a secret

After using Dunlop 02 for the past few years, I decided to give it a shot this year. I find that the tire is superior for city driving; it is quiet and performs well on bare ice. It's pricey, but as the old saying goes, "5 centimeters of braking distance is someone's bumper."

Pros
  • Traction and low noise levels.
Cons
  • price, trend inclination

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

The spikes are all in place, the tires are like new, and in St. Petersburg the winter is not snowy, the cold, slick asphalt maintains well. In my memory, the best rubber was used during this season.

Pros
  • Clutch with durability and sustainability
Cons
  • He drove gently, but that did not suit hard checks at speeds above 80 in the city, so he was not noticed.

Great product, best quality.

The best one I've ever ridden. Teddy bears are the greatest, in my opinion, based on my experience riding summer tires while wearing spikes. On the sidelines, the Japanese smoke. It is quiet because the spikes are different sizes. side grasp, similar to one on a teenager. Since I had just avoided the turns. Naturally, within reason. Last season's Toyota G3 couldn't even maintain half of these speeds. She started to skid right away. But there are other surprises as well. I recently changed my…

Good product, not disappointed.

Since the season is essentially done, let's write a review. The runs were primarily in urban areas and on highways, and during this unusual winter, they were primarily on asphalt, whether it was wet or frozen. I need spikes because the freeway exit leads to an icy track. I was unsure if this spike would work well on bare pavement, but it does, and it does so quite well. Furthermore, it does not react to asphalt ruts. I once experienced a severe blizzard on a highway, and while overtaking…

Pros
  • I took it on December 19th while having an accident with the Grand Vitara. Poland has produced for 19 years. There isn't any snow yet; the city is asphalt. Surprisingly, at speeds up to 80 mph (I don't drive faster yet), I barely hear any wheel noise. There are no concerns about handling when driving in cities because I don't perform any sharp turns either. I don't notice any distinction from the summer. I visit the trail while it is snowing. We'll look more closely at that))
Cons
  • not yet made known.

On each of the four wheels were all the spikes. different benefits Two autos are using these tires. in various sizes. And when purchasing here, you must use extreme caution. Because the size has a significant impact. was initially purchased for a Subaru Impreza. Everything about that car appealed to me. It can swim in warm temperatures, so it's not a big deal. However, the second vehicle received the identical 235/60/18 tires. Pros below: Therefore, Michelin was able to reduce the tread band's…

Excellent product, the best quality.

The majority of people's anticipations were not disappointed. Superior winter tires. However, there are two caveats. on wet surface is not the best behaved, stopping distances are too great. The second issue is tied directly to the rubber's softness, which improves ride quality and traction in wet and snowy conditions but reduces efficiency.

Pros
  • Sufficiently quiet for studded tires and made of soft rubber. Superb grip on the snow and ice. Extremely relaxing.
Cons
  • Not great traction on wet pavement above freezing. little hum at very low frequency.

Great tires! Before that, the Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 7000 was the best in my personal rating, but these are definitely cooler in all respects, much quieter, handling is not that much better, but let's say with Michelin driving becomes more predictable, predictable, which is very lacking on a winter road. I definitely recommend buying, plus there is a fuel card from the manufacturer, which is good news)))

Pros
  • Excellent handling

Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

Before that, I used Haku 7 for 6 years in winter, it suited me perfectly, but last year a pair of wheels lost their geometry and began to knock at speed. I tried X-ice4 last winter, I bought one for my wife for a car within a 16m radius, she liked it. I decided not to experiment and save on safety, I took the same one for myself. Surprisingly like asphalt, winter has not yet come.

Pros
  • Manageability even at positive temperatures is better than on inexpensive Korean summer tires. For spikes, the noise is moderate. Appearance is subjective and doesn't matter to me.
Cons
  • Size 245/60/18, not common and expensive, you could take for example 235/60/18 for 10tr cheaper per set. With other manufacturers, the difference in this size is not so significant. Not silent, after 100 km / h there is a sound similar to the sound of a helicopter flying far enough away. At the same time, during the run-in, the first tens of kilometers were even noisier.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

Rubber is excellent, quiet and these 250 spikes are almost inaudible. The nature of their clatter is not the "clatter" of thorns, but rather like a "tingle", timbre is even pleasant! Michelin is a tire whose carcass is made as high quality as possible, so its mileage without deformation and destruction is record-breaking. The tread is cut to the full depth, and not just like that, but with wear, the lamellas on some models are “exposed” in a new way. All this together allows these tires to…

Pros
  • Silence
Cons
  • a bit smooth when taxiing sharply, maybe haka 4 and 5 was better (which I rode)

Took for equal 4 225 65 17 The rubber is really quiet (I don’t listen to music in the car at all, I didn’t make noise in the car) Previously, I used a lot of any studded rubber, there is something to compare. When I changed my shoes, I went, at first I didn’t understand that I was going on spikes, there was really NO hum! There was not much snow last winter, so it's hard to talk about handling. But in moments of snowfall and ice, in general, everything was not bad (I didn’t try to pile on…

Pros
  • Michelin in a nutshell
Cons
  • Price. But for such rubber, it's not a pity

I took them to the AUDI Q5, the rooks arrived, you can sum it up. It was more expedient for me to use the already familiar friction clutch, I just took this new one from the hands of a friend at a more than attractive price. After a set-up with defective spikes of the previous model, Michelin was rehabilitated - the spikes are really good, many rows, they do not fall out, even if you try. Their landing is reasonable for mixed surfaces - not only for icy rolling, that is, with braking on wet…

Pros
  • Price quality
Cons
  • No significant

My IMHO - in the era of globalization, all goods in the same price group have approximately the same level of consumer properties. Marketing difference. Therefore, reviews like "The best winter tires I have ever ridden" and "The worst tires" are brushed aside at the start. 235/60/R18. The rubber is clear, worth the money, but this is as of November-December 2022 in Hong Kong. The real winter will come - I will write separately. 01/10/2022: Well, winter has come. On New Year's Eve, the first…

Pros
  • I’ll make a reservation right away - now, on the eve of New Year 2022, it’s useless to wait for a full review from 2022 buyers living on the Central 2022 Upland! There is no snow in the cities, the temperature is struggling with 0 degrees Celsius! These studded tires in the city on clean asphalt have the following advantages: - moderate noise. Do not believe the comments that they are not noisy. people are either impressionable, or the music is full, or marketing. But they are slightly less noisy than the Nokian SUV 5 and noticeably quieter than the Toyo OpenCountry. But even with good Shumkov, there is this rumble closer than 100 km and its rhythmic howl. BUT there are no spikes without this symptom. - 2 months on asphalt on a Honda C-RV K24 and all the spikes are in place. I think this is a good indicator. - good rolling resistance. Despite the studded tread and soft rubber, this model starts from a traffic light without much "thoughtfulness". That's all for now. I'll write it off later when the real 2022 winter comes.
Cons
  • To be honest, succumbing to marketing, I expected a lower noise level. Although all my life I drive only on studded tires in winter, I thought, well, that's it. There is noise, but lower than that of the previously operated Nokian SUV 5 and Toyo OpenCountry. No other shortcomings were noticed. The real winter will come - we'll see.

Average quality of the product, especially for the money.

I’m riding the LR DS for the second winter, I won’t buy the same ones again, you can ride in winter, but VERY carefully, in an extreme situation I’m not sure about them, I bought it after looking at reviews of famous bloggers, I understood that they were paid, as a result I unsubscribed from bloggers and banned, I'm rolling the tires this winter and will try to sell them. The only advantages of this rubber are that it rolls quietly, the spikes do not fly out, apparently for warm Europe and…

Pros
  • Quiet, balanced well, for two winters the spikes seem to be in place.
Cons
  • When cornering, protracted and not very, there is always a feeling that the car is blowing away, no matter what, there is snow, ice or dry asphalt on the road. Bad braking on any road condition. All these shortcomings are only compared with Hakka 5, Hakka 5 SUV, Hakka 7 SUV. There is also a feeling that all these shortcomings are due to the number of spikes, there are really a lot of them, but they are small. And all these demolitions occur due to the fact that you roll on a studded cushion if on dry, and if on snow on ice, then their size seems to be not enough. Similarly, with braking, on dry you brake with them and slide, but on packed snow, ice cannot be caught on them. There were no such problems with Hakka, the only exception was when braking on dry pavement, but even here the Hakka had a more predictable braking distance. Well, the price for all these sensations from riding it is still quite high.
