We tried a few other ankle boots but with our Bichon Sam's short legs they were too stiff to pull up for him to walk properly. They were also very hard to come by. He threw them off almost immediately because of the way he kicked. His ears rolled back and his head bowed whenever he saw me walking with them. So we gave up. At first I was going to take a medium size but I trusted the size chart and I'm glad I did. They are easy to put on and just as easy to adjust the fit (stretchable along the length of the front and back legs). The rubber feet are very flexible. It's still booties so he was walking weird when I put them on around the house. But as soon as he came out on the ice and snow, he ran away wagging his tail! Sam gives them five stars.
