I use to wear bike shorts and even at my age wanted a pair of shorts to putter in the yard. I am 5' 2" tall, long waisted and 117 lbs. These have the stretch to fit my no butt butt and my 30" waist with no problem. and these medium pair is perfect. They are comfortable and soft. Every body is different so these may work for others, but they were not flattering on me at all. I bought them upon recommendation from a friend who said she really loved them. She compared them to thick, denim leggings which sounded awesome!They were really comfortable, but fit me terribly. The pockets were really low and wide which I don't think is flattering at all. It has half as much fabric as expected in the skirt so there is hardly any volume to it, no twirl or sway to it at all really.It fits smaller than expected, my girl is in the low end of measurements for the large, it is shorter than expected and the bodice just fits.
