Review on πŸ’» Frameless ViewSonic VA2456-MHD Monitor with DisplayPort, Anti-Glare IPS Display, 1920x1080P, 60Hz, HD by Mark Hall

Nice addition to my docked laptop

After about 2 months of use, my overall impression of this monitor is good. I use it with a 14 inch laptop connected to a docking station. The pictures are good and I like having enough screen real estate to be able to open two separate windows side by side. I don't think the speakers are bad, about like your average PC. I think those who complained about the low volume didn't find the slider in the bottom right corner, setting it up helps a lot. I had an issue with no sound coming through the speakers and I had to restart my computer to get it back. I'm connected with a Displayport cable, but the popup says HDMI connection, I don't know why. My only major dissatisfaction is with Viewsonic Corp (my Revain purchase was from them). Their sales service is poor, they should probably stick with production, retail sales and service is not their game. My delivery was delayed a few days after the original ship date and their CSR sent me a nonsensical, ill-considered response to my email regarding the matter. Also, when I tried to register the monitor on the Viewsonic website, it got a horrible 404 error, Technology companies should have good IT departments. Buy a monitor, but the retail experience should be better elsewhere.
