Review on πŸ” CIPA 11300 Custom Towing Mirror for Toyota - Pair by Kyle Ross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good! Works perfect.

I like it very much. I was a little concerned as I have used this company's strap mirrors in the past which were fine (a little wobbly but painful to put on). No noticeable jerking with these mirrors on the first test run. They're also very easy and quick to install (much quicker than strap-ons), even without instructions (I bought an open box from Revain Warehouse Deals, they may have been missing). A few notes; I've read reviews where people have a hard time figuring out which wedge is coming from which side. I have LH/RH markings on the back, this may be a recent change. I also felt that it was obvious (to me at least) which wedge would be on which side, since only the right wedge would provide the back when sliding at an equivalent angle to the back of the mirror. Wrong wedge - no. The only additional tip I could give is to make sure you slide the mirror all the way over the wedge (until the ends of the mirror and wedge are even), the last inch or so will require a bit more force. After they are flush, tighten the set screw since there is a screw hole in the wedge. I missed that breakpoint the first time and the mirror slipped when I pulled on it. FYI my tundra had chrome mirror caps installed (from a previous owner) and they machined the chrome caps. . . Hooray! My choice was to stick with strapons, this product or a similar product, or use Toyota replacement mirrors. I wanted to try something other than strapons and for 1/10th the cost of a full replacement this is a great product.
