Battery powered clocks work fine but my concern is that I have to change them when the battery dies and I don't know when it's almost dead until it's just dead. If you plan on keeping some of them on for a while, the battery needs replacing, which means I better have a couple of those watch batteries on hand. These USB rechargeable candles are MY kind of flickering artificial tea light! I can rest assured that if I'm burning a few for a while, it just means plugging them in to charge and they'll be good to go again and again. Much easier than using batteries and less wasteful too! I have a few "old" candle holders with the glass in a metal cage so the real candle's flame doesn't blow out in the wind - now I can use these artificial tea lights in cages and they look just as good. for evening lighting. Use them for events, light up your porch or, hey, store them as emergency lighting in case of a power outage - they're always to hand!
