Car Care, Time Will Tell

Based on Pan The Organizer's video review I applied two coats of Gtechniq Halo to my Fiat 500 Abarth with Aged Patina vinyl wrap. The 3M lamination on printed film has a matte finish and I was concerned this product might ruin the effect by adding gloss. I'm happy to report that the matte finish hasn't changed and looks the same as before. However, when I run my hand over the finish, it appears much smoother. It remains to be seen if this coating will perform as well as the Adams Graphene coating I have used on my Porsche and several other vehicles. Wrap, but applying it took more effort, since Halo not only requires two coats, but also has a little more resistance when smoothing (wiping) the surface. However, it certainly wasn't difficult. I also miss the dainty blue UV tracer in the Adams product, which glows blue under UV light so you can see exactly where it's applied. For reference, I used half of a 60ml Adams bottle to make my Porsche. My Fiat picked up 2/3 of a 50ml bottle of Halo but I dropped the bottle and spilled some. I'd say I could get by with a 30ml bottle, but if your car is larger than a Fiat 500 (aren't all cars?) then grab a 50ml Halo bottle and try not to waste it. I also suspect that gloss or PPF film requires less product than my matte vinyl. I hope this product will be stain resistant and as easy to clean as the finishes on my painted cars. I will edit this product review when I find out.
