Ordered this sprocket about 2 weeks ago. We chose the battery powered option as we don't have an outlet where we wanted to place it. The battery powered option has an 8 hour option, meaning the star will turn on for 8 hours and then turn off for 16 hours. Worked great for the first two weeks and then noticed it randomly turned off after one evening when it was supposed to turn off around 1am. We ended up having to climb stairs and skip the 8-hour option to make sure it stayed on when we wanted it. Update: The star is almost out. Can't tell it's even on. I just changed the batteries recently. I have to go back up the stairs to see if I can fix it. It has to be an inner connection, it's not good. I wouldn't buy this again.
