I ordered these spray bottles for my son who is currently having the has completed the first phase of the braces and will need to wear a retainer every day for the last six weeks and every day and night until the next phase of the braces. We got the spray when he was about 3 weeks old after he had his braces removed. At the time, he was constantly commenting on how stinky his fee and his case were. While we would advise him to clean both regularly, he's a baby and we're lucky he didn't forget to put it on. Then this spray was a godsend. He could use it on brisk walks, when he wanted to drink a soda but didn't want to cover the retainer with it, or when we were eating on the go and he wanted to rinse it off before putting it back in. Rinse with water as this spray is flavored and flavored with mint, but it's definitely better than nothing. It contains the artificial sweetener xylitol and is noticeable in taste and smell, but still better than bad breath. For me, the most important thing is that it kills bacteria, so even if his hygiene is broken, it's not as bad as if he just doesn't flush or clean the thing.
