Holes mismatched in nursery

We had no problems with our white Dream On Me Chelsea cot until we tried converting it to a toddler bed. The holes in the toddler rail just don't line up with the crib like other reviewers did. I was skeptical, thinking that the other reviewers might have built their cribs wrong, but no - the holes just don't line up with the Chelsea crib. These are NOT "universal" Infant Dream On Me Splints. If you have installed screws on the bottom of the cot, the holes on the left side of the rail will not line up with the holes in the cot. So there is no way to attach the left side of the crib side to the crib frame (not very secure). We ended up having to secure the left side of the handrail in another way - with *rope* since we didn't have zip ties. A bit disappointed when we paid $50 for the rail. Note that the splints are also fairly short (just 21 inches) - if you have a toddler who moves around a lot while they sleep, this splint is not for them. They roll very easily on the ground. I do not recommend this product.
