Review on πŸš— SHEROX 3.5" Car HUD Head Up Display with OBD2/EUOBD Interface: Speed, OverSpeed Warning, Water Temp, Battery Voltage, Mileage by Corey Kim

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I liked it, no reflective screen

Great device with clear instructions. It's easy and not distracting. and adjust the "offset" to match the vehicle's built-in offset. Offset is the difference between the data provided by the engine and the data displayed on the dashboard - the speedometers are always set a little faster and I wanted the speed displayed on the HUD to match the car's speedometer to avoid conflicts with advanced speedometers . It was very easy to set this up through trial and error - make a small adjustment and go. After three short rides I got it right. Like most electronics it gets carried away by its quick wits and gives a lot more information than necessary - I really don't see the point of measuring fuel consumption in liters per hour and having it. on the projection display. All I really need is just the rate per hour. I did not use mirror foil, the image is somewhat doubled by the glass construction, which I personally find quite acceptable. The windshield display works well despite a slight double reflection due to the composition of the windshield. It doesn't bother me, and I haven't bothered to put on a transparent film which should fix that. The reflection works very well at night when the auto-dimming feature kicks in, and is clearly visible during the day, except when driving directly into the sun. In such circumstances it is difficult to see, although it is possible. Overall I'm impressed with this device and it was well worth the money and effort. As far as head-up displays go, I'm definitely a convert. It takes me a moment to refocus my eyes on the display and get back on the road. The vehicle in front is always in my line of sight instead of looking at the speedometer when you're not looking at the road, even if just for a second. Is it absolutely necessary? No, it's better to have, but I have a feeling that if you took it from me now, I'd miss it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features
