So many problems I will remove it from my car radio

This deck is elegant and looks really impressive. It's made for a boat, so it's waterproof and shockproof, but it still works in a car. The problem with this is the programming. The iPhone dock is not working properly. It plays music from my iPhone, but when I go to Artists and select Beastie Boys it starts playing George Harrison. When you choose Pink Floyd, you start playing with Eddie Money. There is no template in which group he will play. That doesn't mean he's gone at one or going A to Z or anything, he just plays the band he wants no matter what band you choose. When I go to songs and select a song, that song doesn't play. Another will play. So there are only two ways to navigate your music: create a playlist and select a song from the playlist, or click the Next button 50,000 times until you get to the song you want. Browsing through 32GB of music is a problem when navigation doesn't work. I wish "artists" worked on the "playlist". I tried resetting it but it doesn't help. The second problem with programming is that the LCD shows the last song played and not the current song, which is pointless. I always know the last song I played; I want to know what song is playing. So without navigation, not only do you have to search through 50,000 songs, but you also don't know the name of the song until you walk past it. A current problem that seems to be related to cold weather is that it creates a mechanical screeching. . So every morning during the winter months I have to turn off the radio because it squeaks and screeches like it's trying to turn a winch or something. It doesn't make sense to me because everything is (or at least should be) digital. Why are there moving parts in this deck? No CD player, no tape recorder, all radio tuners are now digital. Why is there something mechanical in there and why does it creak? In general, the thing looks cool, but once you start using it (which unfortunately mostly comes first installed), you realize how many problems it has as a deck. I installed it about 3 months ago and am in the process of removing it and replacing it with another deck. It was a waste of money and time. Save yourself this article and an hour of work and buy yourself a good deck to start with.
