While overall this is a good cutter, I found one annoyance and one obvious problem. The annoying thing is that it would be a lot easier to align precise cuts to a specific line if the blade was raised higher. The blade is so low that it's hard to see where to align the cut at the top. Yes, I know a more specialized cutter would be better for precision work, but I needed a versatile, robust cutter and this fitted the bill perfectly. The real problem I have is that when I need to cut something longer than 13 7/8 inches, the screw on the blade handle latch hits the paper. It leaves traces on the paper. I had to remove the latch which defeats the purpose and makes it less secure. This thing is advertised as a 15 inch cutter, but if you don't remove the latch you get 1 1/8 inches less. Aside from those two things, I found the cutter worked well. It cuts through any cardboard I need to cut and has a good solid construction.
