Review on πŸ“Έ Transcend 64GB SDHC 700S Memory Card: High-Speed UHS-I Ultra-Capacity Solution by Michael Pickering

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well so far with Fuji T-X3

Did not make the best T-X3 card list (SanDisk Pro, Sony G and Lexar Pro 2000 scored higher). So far I haven't experienced any stuttering with a notoriously small sample size and have been able to shoot 4K at 60 fps with ease. I'll take another one for a backup slot. They still cost way too much, but the Transcend seems to cost better (or much better) than the others above. Let's see if it can withstand heavy use. I was finally able to test the read/write speeds with a Lexar UHS-II card reader using AJA's free system test - and was surprised when one of my two cards (one for the primary slot, the other for backup) achieved a write speed of 230 , which scores over 180, while the other consistently scored 180 in write speed (which it was rated for). The first card actually exceeded the write speed it was rated for, but the second card was the bottleneck as I use both to store JPEG/raw data with the X-T3 when shooting for redundancy. Both cards scored 240 points for read speed. In comparison, the two 128GB Lexar Pro 2000 UHS-II cards I purchased consistently achieve 230 write speeds and 260-70 read speeds. The cards cost a little more than twice as much as the Transcend, but given the greater consistency, they are not primarily recognized as my main cards because of the larger storage capacity, but because of the lack of a write speed bottleneck compared to the Transcend.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
