Because of their thick coat, we use it to wash Newfoundland dog hair. Pros: Easy to install and attach to a hose. Easy (enough) to clean after use. There is a part on the atomizer that can hold it without squeezing it. Cons: Difficult to determine the water to shampoo ratio unless the shampoo needs to be diluted with water. There must be enough water in the soap for the hose to soak it up - clean shampoo will not be sucked in. I still have to push back my dog's fur to get the shampoo onto her skin, but little to no scrubbing is required.
