Do not recommend this chair. It's comfortable and the basic structure (wooden arms/legs and metal frame for the seat cushion) is solid, but the big problem is that it has those plastic ties (similar to the ones you would wrap around a stack of newspapers or magazines). Support. . They enclose the metal frame that the pad sits on and intersect at right angles. You will notice that they are not shown on the product image. These ligaments were fine for about 2 months but then gradually loosened up as they stretched and increased in size. After two months, they slowly began to decompose little by little. I watched some TV, maybe had a snack, and "POP" was on another (definitely a little unexpected). They clapped maybe once every 3-4 weeks until the stool was mostly dangerous (the last 4 or 5 bandages could burst at once) and useless except maybe for a light baby. I just don't think it's worth the money (although the price is very reasonable) to get a chair that can last 6-8 months. By the way, I'm about 6'1" and weigh 195 pounds. I don't think it's too much to ask for the seat to be strong enough to support my weight.
