These lights are very sturdy, with substantial weight that feels like they should last for many years. I installed this 12-pack plus another 4-pack and every one worked from first switch-on. Not knowing the amount of light emitted from each of the options, I took a chance and got the 3000K type. They put out a perfect amount of light for my front entryway steps and the lawn-planting area border they cover.
