I think this is only marketed as a "puzzle" because the build quality is too poor to be offered as a "model". You will receive a die-cut foam model with graphics already applied to the surface. The pieces are numbered and explained with decently clear visual instructions, which assemble into a slot and ledge model that you won't want to take apart and put back together like a regular jigsaw puzzle. In fact, this is a souvenir for a one-time assembly and exhibition, and it is too delicate for that. While a styrofoam sheet is an evolution of the paper/cardboard that jigsaw puzzles are typically made of, it is unsuitable for something intended to retain its spatial shape over time and will disintegrate at any collision with other objects. Detritus (flying socks?), pets, vacuums and feather dusters. I'd rather pay a few bucks more and make it out of hard plastic parts that might have a longer shelf life. The portion of the statue itself is particularly inelegant, using three flat elements with a pair of spacers to mimic its three-dimensionality. Assembly with my 10 year old daughter took about an hour which we really enjoyed. It was easy once she started following clear instructions instead of sticking with her original trial and error method. It's nice to spend time together and learn a little while creating something tangible in the memory of visiting New York. If the result had decent durability I would give it five stars.
