I am a nurse and have treated many wounds and this tape is great for whatever you need. You can cut short, long, or down the middle to get long strips. Usually slightly affects the skin and does not cause numerous rashes with a reaction to it. I just used it at my mom's for lines that came out of test and weren't long enough to fit in her bag. I just put duct tape on the wires right by her belly to hold her up and it worked great. It's nice to cover the area you want to keep dry with a double layer. Just take it off in case it gets wet to replace it. For example, when you swim or take a bath.
