I bought this unit to avoid plugging and unplugging things on the back of my iMac. Its style and appearance is very elegant and conforms to Apple devices. The cable connecting it to the computer is so thick and inflexible that the connector can't sit flat under my screen. I'm sure it will adjust over time, but it's still pretty annoying. Something that was not advertised at all in the product description is that it is low light. A bright downward light that stays on while the computer is on. I tried covering it with a small piece of cardboard as it bounced off the base of my computer, but the light still seeps through. It's worth noting that this port caused some problems with my Wi-Fi. As all other devices connected just fine, I alternatively contacted Xfinity and Apple to try and troubleshoot my iMac connection issues. For about a week nobody could solve the problem. My home WiFi showed a stable connection but acted as if there was no internet connection. Then I received an email (on my handy, wifi-connected phone) from Revain asking me to check my recent purchases. When I saw this article again, I started to wonder if this could be the cause. I opened a browser and tried to check my email. Nothing. As soon as I disconnected this little guy, BOOM, the internet connection was restored. So thank you Sabrent for the week of confusion. I will return this product.
