I was camping in the backyard with my boys and getting ready to eat MRE and make coffee by the fire. I quickly realized that the plastic around the MRE was thick. Too thick for my arthritic hands. I knew the situation was dire; My boys looked at me to feed them. What should I have done? Tell them to go back to the house and look in the fridge? No, no, a thousand times NO! I wouldn't send my boys out into the night to find a patio and back door to a house with just a flashlight and starve and cry at the sight of their father's helpless attempts to open an MRE Chili Poppy. But what could I do? What could any man do? I suddenly remembered that my Ka-Bar Tactical Spork was in my backpack at my feet. With a twinkle in my eye, shouting "Victory!" I pulled out my tool of cool and took a serrated knife from a fork sheath. In the blink of an eye a bag of MRE was at my feet, foe defeated and shamed, and I knew deliciously packaged canned goods packed with enough sodium to make your eyes bleed would be consumed tonight. My only regret was that I didn't have a horn and honey to celebrate my accomplishment. This will probably be my next purchase (assuming free shipping of course). Long live Ka-Bar.
