Review on ๐Ÿงƒ YETI Rambler 46 oz Bottle - Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel with Chug Cap: Highlands Olive by Tony Guernsey

Better than a thermos

My morning routine is to brew fresh coffee and then pour it into a thermos. I hate overcooked or overcooked coffee. My old one was getting very shabby and leaking so I started looking around. I was thinking of getting one of Yetis' half-gallon pieces, but it's only 18 ounces smaller and half the price. I went with it. I ended up buying an alternative lid at a local hardware store. The standard caps don't really match the bottles. They are not as good both hot and cold as bottles. The good news is that the insulated lid keeps the coffee hot all day long. The neck does seem to lose some heat, but it's nowhere near as bad as with the original cap. It's a big bottle, but it's still easy to hold. The bad news is that without a properly insulated cap, you probably won't get what you're looking for out of the bottle. Sad but true, you have to invest a little more. As for me, as you probably guessed, I still almost regret not taking the half gallon. But not really. In general I am very satisfied. And I'm sure it will be strong in five years. I never would have thought that with my last one. Hope this helps someone. Many Thanks

Pros
  • Chug lid not suitable for hot drinks
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
