I have a backpack that lost a couple of zippers (the "paracord knot" untied and disappeared) and I need to find a replacement. These are smaller but they are pretty tough. I pulled quite tight and the thin cord was quite stiff. Can't tell how much weight it will hold, but for a zip it's pretty stiff. It's also great for jackets and any other zippers that you think need a zipper. The tongue itself is quite good, if a little small, but pulls well. This will match some typical jacket or vest zippers. In general, it's good to have something on hand, especially. in colder areas where you must wear gloves or otherwise lack the dexterity of your fingers to use the exposed zippers.
