Review on AOC E2351F 23-inch LED πŸ–₯️ Monitor in Black with 1920x1080 Resolution (β€ŽE2351F) by Joe Guzman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great thing in my opinion

I ended up replacing two of my old working CRT monitors because one of them started to fail. I looked around and finally settled on them based on reviews here and elsewhere. AOC must have had a promotion as all sites (including Revain) offered them for $130 each. Installation: The monitors are used in a typical office/home environment - mounted on the supplied stand and placed side by side on a table. . Monitors are typically located at a viewing distance of about 3.5 to 4 feet. Pros: no dead pixels, weight/volume (light/thin), image quality, legibility. Cons: As mentioned, there aren't any. DVI cables that came with the monitor. Shipping/Packaging The monitors arrived quickly (Day 2 of Revain Prime - I'm going to be a backer) and the box of monitors was the right size (ie). Custom monitor boxes were also very economical - molded foam held the monitors in place (typical top and bottom mounting) with an air gap of about 2 inches between the screen and the side of the box. Physical Characteristics: - I was impressed by the weight of the monitors (very light) and thinness - my wife was able to easily lift the monitor with one hand if needed. I was initially concerned about durability but they are perfectly fine for my use (fairly static environment - no need to move much, no harsh conditions etc.) - The stand the monitors are mounted on is fine for the monitors, but that someone might cause some problems if they wanted to dismantle them. - The buttons on the monitor are touch sensitive, so I had to retrain myself to press them like a physical button (as someone said before, if you "press" the power button, the monitor moves (there's no weight behind it ) Picture quality: I connected them via DVI connectors and the picture quality is excellent - The monitors are easy to read in all normal lighting conditions (if you shine a bright light on them you will have problems, so don't shine a flashlight on them .) - The display is sharp and easy to read in a home office, brightly lit by natural light from a window right next to the desk. The Ora is small (0.75"), so having them next to each other is absolutely no problem (unless you really insist that there is NO "gap" between the displayed image) - Monitors have evolved common productivity applications (word processors, spreadsheets lkulation, email, etc.). Text is large, crisp, and there's plenty of room to open documents. When the document is scaled to "100%" (e.g. in MS Word) it looks lonely on the screen. - I'm a gamer too and there are no blurring issues in any games I've used them with (Crysis 3, BioShock Infinite, StarCraft II, etc.). Overall I'm very happy with the purchase The only thing I can't comment on right now is how they will hold up over the long term (AOC has 3 years parts/labour, 1 year LCD). )

Pros
  • It was a good price, I had to buy it, I've looked everywhere for a good monitor for my computer.
Cons
  • The monitor turns off after a few seconds
