Review on HP 27-Inch FreeSync Gaming Monitor πŸ–₯️ 2560x1440p, 165Hz, Adjustable Tilt, Height, and Pivot, β€Ž2V7U3AA#ABA by Kristoffer Salacup

The new HP 165Hz gaming monitor at great value and performance.

This is a very new 165Hz "gaming" monitor, so unfortunately there aren't many reviews about it, so I thought I'd write a few words about my experience with it. I've been using the HP X27q a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it so far. The screen is absolutely beautiful, and in my personal opinion, the 27-inch screen seems like a pretty good spot for the QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution that this monitor delivers. The height adjustment mechanism is also very smooth. It was very easy to set up and came with a DisplayPort cable in the box which was a nice bonus. In my case, I mainly use a monitor connected via DisplayPort to my desktop computer with an AMD graphics card. However, I temporarily connected it to my gaming laptop which uses Nvidia and although the monitor uses AMD FreeSync Premium and is not listed as G-Sync compatible, I manually enabled G-Sync in the Nvidia software on my laptop , and this seemed to be working well in my limited testing. (I should note that the G-Sync option only appears when the monitor is connected via DisplayPort.) I also tested my laptop, which was connected to the monitor's HDMI port with a "Premium" HDMI cable and get a 144Hz refresh rate at max resolution in several games I've tested. The only very minor annoyance I have is that you have to reach your hand on the back right side of the monitor to get to the controls.
