With my MacBook, the plug-and-play function only works with a USB-C to USB cable (not included). Two included cables: HDMI to mini-HDMI and USB-C to USB-C. I have USB-C to Lightning Cable, JSAUX [Apple MFi Certified] 6ft iPhone 13/12 Fast Charging Cable iPhone USB-C Cable for iPhone 13/13 Pro/13 Pro Max/12/12 Mini/12 Pro Max/11 Pro Max/ X/XS/XR/8, iPad 8, Airpods to try to connect to my iPad/iPhone but it didn't work. i will return it I'll try an Apple-supplied USB-C to Lightning cable instead of another brand's Apple-certified cable to see if it works. If I just connect HDMI to Mini HDMI I get nothing. It would be great if a Lightning cable connector was included. UPDATE: This monitor is amazing! It definitely can't be connected to an iPad/iPhone, but the two-cable method works great. My MacBook doesn't have a USB-C port, so I connect it using the included HDMI to mini-HDMI cable and a purchased USB-C to USB cable. I love this monitor, definitely kudos and recommended!
