Review on Lorell Mid-Back Swivel Mesh Chair, Black: Comfortable and Stylish Office Seating Solution by Kristen Rohr

Update: I do not recommend this chair

I have decided to upgrade this one after owning the chair for a few months. The piston holding the top of the chair to the lower legs came loose when moving forward/backward. It's pretty subtle, but now it's a rocking chair that makes an awful sound every time it rocks. I will replace it and cannot recommend it to anyone with such poor reliability. Original review: Is it nice? Not particularly. It's not the worst looking chair I've ever seen and it's comfortable for me. The mesh back seems to support my 185-pound frame well. The mesh flexes a bit, but I wouldn't call it slack, and it's wider than the Herman Miller Aeron chairs that popularized this style. The extra width is nice as I sometimes catch a hard edge in the Aeron chair while moving. The settings feel reasonable in every way, and everything (especially the levers) feels solid and reliable. Haven't had any issues with the backrest sliding down yet, it seems to lock/hold securely. I really found the back height adjustment to be a bit cheap as it's a metal bar that slides on a plastic frame. I applied a small amount of silicone grease to the sides of the metal bar, which completely locks in the feel and makes it easier to adjust. I've circled the areas I smeared with red in the attached image. Sorry, no apologies for the dog hair in the picture :)
