Oh my god. I just wanted a kettle, not an impossible project. I unpacked this kettle (beautiful, perfect size etc.) and put it straight into the dishwasher because it's advertised as "dishwasher safe" and because that's what you do with new dishes. I started the dishwasher and then opened it up to get a kettle for my morning tea. Food leftovers and dirt got into the plastic housing from below and got stuck between the housing and the glass! Since according to the instructions the plastic housing should not be removed from the glass, it cannot be cleaned. Do not buy if you plan to wash dishes or if there is a risk of debris from the floor when washing your hands!
