I don't know when the definition of a teapot changed, but it is NOT a teapot. The glass may be borosilicate, but it doesn't matter where heat is concerned when the rest is low-density PLASTIC.

I was literally so excited to get this! Today it finally arrived and I've used it to the best of my ability! It was wonderful! I caught a cold and made a lot of tea, put it on the bedside table, lay down and drank a whole pot of tea. It kept my tea hot and I love it! I highly recommend!

one word YES! The only thing that would give it 5 stars would be if you could reheat it in the microwave or put it on a hot surface! But I like it! TO UPDATE. Long story short, the pot was cracked upon arrival and I didn't notice. I contacted the seller and he replaced it ASAP! I still wish it could be used in the microwave and the carafe was thicker, but between overall performance and customer service. 5 Stars!

Very cute little teapot! This is a very cute teapot. Small and convenient. 40 oz., it also has a plastic handle and the lid is easy to remove. Keeps tea warm for hours. Please note that this glass is thin but I think that is because it has a slight magnifying effect for the flower tea that comes packaged with the teapot. Oh my god. I just wanted a kettle, not an impossible project. I unpacked this kettle (beautiful, perfect size etc.) and put it straight into the dishwasher because it's advertised as "dishwasher safe" and because that's what you do with new dishes.
